Time flies when you’re having fun but the annual Top Ten competition waits for no man (or woman – and it’s position on children and animals has yet to be made clear) judging by the fact we’ve hit the fourth round already.
In the last round we had a healthy six entries (the results of which are HERE). Will this number be topped in round four? Only one way to find out!
Selected to enter films for this round are:
Nick Kasper
Andy & Marian Watson
Mo & Peter Lodge
Sam Brown
Jim Morton Robertson
Hugh Darrington
Harold & Maisie Trill
Simon Earwicker
Lee Relph
Barbara Walker
As ever if you can’t make your designated round be sure to either reply to this post below saying so or let Brenda know ahead of time – conversely if you DO have a film ready early, please bring it along as chances are it will be welcomed for screening time permitting. This is also applicable to new members and recent joinees who wish to share their work with us or throw their hat in the ring.
And if you are bringing a film this week then PLEASE reply to this post in the comments/reply section below, letting us know the film’s run time, format (DVD, Mini DV) and picture ratio (4:3 or 16:9). This is a great help for us when planning the evening out and if you could accommodate us on this it is greatly appreciated.
Good luck to everyone who enters a film.
Regretfully I do not have a new film to share with anyone this year but I think I have one from a couple of years back I can submit to make the numbers up.
DVD, 16:9 2mins 17secs
That’s great Lee at least we will have one film.
Brenda
Hi Lee
I have a film!
DVD 4:3 13mins
Thanks Simon!
Colin also has a film for tomorrow.
Web-o-phobia strikes again…..
Thanks Brenda!
Afraid I will not have a film this time, but at least we have some
We took a bit of a step backwards with this round as only three films were entered. I can’t imagine everyone was wiped out with heat stroke during the summer thus couldn’t film; although I will believe your house was waterlogged! 😛
Anyway, leading by example was our chairman Simon “Snapper” Earwicker and his film “RAIN”. This was in fact an acronym for a animal charity “Rescued Animals In Need”, which sounds admirably until you learn that the motives of this charity is to drive cats and dogs into extinction by having them all neutered! 😮
Next was an older film from me “OCD” which was my “raising awareness” film about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder which blights the lives of many around the world.
Finally Colin “Colin” Jones ended the evening with his short comedy “One Small Job”, about how fate can play some cruel tricks even under the simplest of circumstances.
Despite the low number of entries we had three different films to enjoy which provided much discussion.
Which one will advance to the next round? Check back for the results coming soon!
True, there may not have been many entries, but it is odd how just three managed to fill the entire evening. Heaven help us if all ten of us had decided to put in a film!
